Captain Uday Saharan scored 100 runs off 107 balls with the help of nine boundaries while Sachin Das scored 115 runs off 101 balls including 11 fours and three sixes.  It was their batting excellence that made India score 297/5 in 50 overs.  Chasing a target of 298 runs, Nepal played all 50 overs but managed to score only 165 runs for the loss of nine wickets.  Soumy Pandey took four wickets for India.
